WHAT YOU WILL SEE IN ZAKOPANE

One of the highlights of the trip is Chochołów, a picturesque highlander village famous for its beautifully preserved wooden houses built in traditional Góral style. Many of them date back to the 19th century, giving the village a unique open-air museum atmosphere.

During the tour, you will also have the opportunity to visit traditional shepherds’ huts, where you can taste oscypek – the famous smoked sheep’s milk cheese.

Another stop is the local market near Krupówki Street, where you can buy regional products, wooden crafts, leather goods, woollen clothing and traditional souvenirs.

GUBAŁÓWKA HILL AND KRUPÓWKI STREET

A ride on the funicular to Gubałówka Hill is one of the most popular attractions in Zakopane. From the top, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Tatra Mountains from over 1100 metres above sea level.

Krupówki Street is the heart of Zakopane and the town’s main promenade. It’s a perfect place for a walk, shopping, tasting regional food and enjoying the unique atmosphere of the Polish mountains.

OPTIONAL ATTRACTIONS

Depending on your preferences and time availability, you may also visit Pęksowy Brzyzek – a historic wooden cemetery with unique local art, or Jaszczurówka Chapel, one of the finest examples of Zakopane-style wooden architecture.
