This one-day tour combines two of Kraków’s most important attractions: the historic Wieliczka Salt Mine and the Oskar Schindler’s Factory Museum. It’s an ideal option for visitors who want to see key landmarks in a single day while saving time and effort.

Wieliczka Salt Mine is a unique underground complex dating back to the 13th century, famous for its salt-carved chambers, tunnels and chapels. Schindler’s Factory is a modern, interactive museum dedicated to the history of Kraków and its inhabitants during World War II.

Shared One Day Tour from Kraków

Our shared Salt Mine and Schindler’s Factory tour from Kraków takes approximately 6 hours. We offer hotel pickup from central Kraków or a convenient meeting point option. Transport is provided in a modern, air-conditioned vehicle with an English-speaking tour leader.

The drive to the Salt Mine takes around 30–40 minutes. After the underground visit, the group is transferred to Schindler’s Factory Museum, with the journey taking up to 30 minutes.

Wieliczka Salt Mine Guided Tour

At the Wieliczka Salt Mine, you will join a guided tour led by a licensed guide. The standard tourist route lasts around 2–2.5 hours and includes underground chambers, tunnels, salt sculptures, lakes and the famous St. Kinga’s Chapel, carved entirely out of salt.

The route involves approximately 800 stairs and ends with a lift back to the surface. The temperature underground is around 15°C all year round, so comfortable shoes and warmer clothing are recommended.

Schindler’s Factory Museum Visit

After visiting the Salt Mine, the tour continues to Oskar Schindler’s Factory. The museum visit lasts around 1.5 hours and is led by a local guide.

The main exhibition, “Kraków under Nazi Occupation 1939–1945”, is largely interactive and presents the wartime history of the city and its residents through photographs, documents, multimedia displays and personal stories.

This tour is available as a shared or private option. Pickup for shared tours usually takes place in the late morning. Advance booking is recommended due to limited ticket availability.

The Salt Mine tourist route is not fully accessible for visitors with mobility difficulties. Photography in both attractions may be subject to restrictions.

After the tour, we provide return transport to Kraków city centre, with drop-off at the same locations as pickup or directly at your hotel on private tours.
